Hello Everyone,
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself, as I am your new guidance counselor this year. My name is Mrs. Spencer and I have been a counselor in Camden County for the past 4 years at CMS. There I worked with all grade levels, and mostly our special education children. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the staff, faculty, parents, and most of all the children of MLG elementary in the upcoming year. It is a great opportunity for me to work with a new group of children, and I hope to implement some new and exciting programs as the year progresses.
I am married to my husband of almost 11 years, and he is a teacher at CCHS. Prior to working in the school system, I was a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful children Alex(girl) &Thomas. They are in third and fourth grade. In addition, to being a wife and mother, I have obtained a masters in counseling, Eds. in Curriculum and Instruction, Administration, and I am now currently working on my doctorate in Counseling Psychology. In summary, I really enjoy learning and working in the field of counseling as it allows me to do what I love most, which is help children grow and develop into strong, healthy, successful young adults. Lastly, I enjoy spending time watching UGA football as I am a UGA graduate, and playing tennis on our local league, and with my family, attending church, and finally spending time with family.
